We all know we should reach out and connect with our Database (those we care about). A time-tested method is to send a handwritten note.
The Harvard Business Review had a great post on this. You can read it here.
Start with an affirmation:
I love writing note cards. I love how I feel when I do it. I love how I feel when a person responds to me after receiving one. Good things happen when you write note cards.
Here’s a nice model you can use when writing note cards:
Start by finding a quote that you really resonate with. You can use a website sure as: http://www.brainyquote.com/ as source for great quotes.
Sample Note Card:
Dear [First name],
I read this quote today and thought you might enjoy it.
“Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.” – Louisa May Alcott
Thank you (first name) for all of your support. I’m here as a resource for you and those you care about.
Let me know when you’re free for coffee next week. I’d love to catch up on what’s happening with you!
[Your name]
The person receiving it will appreciate the time and thought you invested into it.
Make this a daily practice as part of your Engagement Hour!
