Office Leader Cindy Thackery advocates for homeowners as NAR Federal Political Coordinator

Cindy Thackery, Office Leader for the Sunset Corridor, Scappoose and St. Helens offices, was recently appointed as NAR Federal Political Coordinator for Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon.

Cindy was one of the many participants at NAR Advocacy Week, held in Washington D.C. from January 22-25, 2025. Attendees networked and heard from dynamic political speakers and NAR leadership during combined general sessions, and attended extended breakout sessions for more targeted training specific to their roles.

“As the Federal Political Coordinator for Senator Wyden, my role is about more than just political strategy—it’s about advocating for issues that directly impact the lives of everyday people. Homeownership is a cornerstone of stability and prosperity, and I’m dedicated to bringing this priority to the forefront of our discussion,” said Cindy. “By fostering meaningful dialogue and driving solutions, I hope to create lasting change that safeguards the dreams of homeowners and strengthens communities across the country.”

In addition, Cindy serves as 2025 President of the Women’s Council of Realtors-Portland and was a featured speaker on an International Women’s Day Leadership Panel, celebrating the contributions of Women in the Real Estate Industry. The event was held in Portland on March 6.
