JLS For Diversity: A Conversation with Howard Chung and Sandy McKenzie

John L. Scott’s VP of Franchise Development & Operations Howard Chung recently sat down with broker Sandy McKenzie of our Tacoma University Place office for a conversation about diversity and fair housing as Black History Month came to an end.

With almost 14 years of experience in real estate, Sandy has been very involved with Tacoma Pierce County Association of REALTORS® and Washington REALTORS®. She has served on the NAR Fair Housing Policy Committee and is actively working on expanding homeownership opportunities in our communities.

While the Fair Housing Act was passed in 1968, we still have a long way to go. Recent statistics show that homeownership among minorities is lower today than it was when the act was passed. It’s important to educate ourselves about diversity and fair housing initiatives and become a positive force for change.
