Kitsap John L. Scott offices host virtual blood drive

Masked up John L. Scott Kitsap blood donors pose for the camera after and during giving blood through a recent virtual blood drive.

The five John L. Scott offices in Kitsap County (Bainbridge Island, Kingston, Poulsbo, Silverdale and Port Orchard) came together to plan, organize and coordinate a virtual blood drive with with Bloodworks NW in late July.

Brokers, staff, associated business vendors and clients came out in full support of our community. More than three gallons of blood were donated and will stay within the local community to help neighbors in need. This amounts to a total of 63 individuals who will receive the life-saving gift of blood following the drive.

“Team Kitsap is proud of our hyper-local commitment to our communities,” said Stephen Shepard, the office leader for John L. Scott Silverdale. “Bloodworks NW made it easy for us to orchestrate this ‘virtual’ blood drive, allowing everyone interested the chance to schedule an appointment that worked well for their schedule. Given the blood shortage, donating blood is a great way to support your local community.”
