John L. Scott receives award for work with Ronald McDonald House Charities

John L. Scott was honored for the 10th year in a row for the President’s Volunteer Service Award for volunteer work done with the Ronald McDonald Houses.

Ronald McDonald Charities of Western Washington & Alaska recently announced the 2020 recipients of the President’s Volunteer Service Award, and John L. Scott was recognized as a silver award recipient. The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is a prestigious national honor offered in recognition of sustained volunteer service. In 2003 the President’s Council on Service and Civic Participation founded the award to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity.

The PVSA has continued under each administration, honoring the volunteers who are using their time and talents to solve some of the toughest challenges facing our nation. The Ronald McDonald House became a PVSA Certifying Organization in 2010, and John L. Scott has been honored with the award in every year it’s been offered by the organization!
