August home prices: static in King but rose in Kitsap and Pierce Counties

August NW MLS numbers are showing that lower cost areas – like Kitsap and Pierce Counties – are seeing rising prices, while King County median home prices are fairly static. PSBJ’s Marc Stiles quoted J. Lennox Scott and Frank Wilson in his latest piece. 

[…] In Kitsap County, John L. Scott regional manager Frank Wilson said multiple offers remain commonplace.

“Traffic is strong at open houses and our average market time is still very low for correctly priced homes,” he said.

Citing two key indicators — interest rates remaining low and strong job growth — John L. Scott Chairman and CEO Lennox Scott said the market enters fall in good shape. Out of the next six months, September and October are historically the best for selection and availability, he added.
