John L. Scott broker Maggie McQueen supported by colleagues at Refuse to Abuse 5K

John L. Scott Puyallup-Main’s Maggie McQueen, joined by friends, family and JLS colleagues at the Refuse to Abuse 5K.

On Saturday, July 20, John L. Scott Puyallup-Main broker Maggie McQueen was joined by family, friends and John L. Scott colleagues for the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s (WSCADV) annual Refuse to Abuse 5K. The fun run/walk 5K event is a fundraiser for WSCADV’s statewide violence prevention and education work.

Maggie, her “More Than Surviving” team and others raised nearly $4,000 for the WSCADV, and in all, this year the event brought in $225,000 to support domestic violence prevention.

Maggie McQueen shared her story of domestic abuse publicly earlier this year on Advocacy Day for the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, through the a video produced for the John L. Scott Contribution Film Series. Since then, she’s shared her story with others to bring light to this important issue. Most recently, Maggie was featured with John L. Scott Puyallup-Main’s Bobbie Chipman in a Washington REALTORS profile in the summer issue of RE Magazine.

The Refuse to Abuse 5K is a unique 5K fun run/walk that takes participants around every level of T-Mobile park, including on the field. Funds raised benefit the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence and their statewide violence prevention and education work.
