Port Orchard John L. Scott assists with tornado relief

The John L. Scott Port Orchard office’s front reception area, transformed into a command center for tornado relief.

On Tuesday, Dec. 18, Port Orchard was hit by a tornado that was the strongest tornado to hit Washington state since 1986. It touched down nearly right behind the John L. Scott Port Orchard office, damaging multiple homes and toppling a number of trees and power lines. John L. Scott broker Dana Stone’s house was in the affected area, but thankfully she is still able to stay in her house.

Office members jumped at the opportunity to help out with tornado relief, and the office was designated as a command center for those helping with area clean-up. Volunteers had access to snacks and water, and office members also helped by shuttling volunteers to and from the clean-up site, as cars were not allowed to be parked in the area.
