Kris Klusman is the new owner of the John L. Scott office in Shelton, Washington. Kris brings over 18 years of experience as a broker and office leader throughout the Mason County region.
Former owner Jamie Mell led the office for the past five years before the June acquisition. She is staying on board as a John L. Scott broker and looks forward to her continued real estate service in the community. When Jamie decided to focus her energy on personal real estate sales and property management clients, she approached Kris, a local and trusted colleague.
Prior to real estate, Kris and his wife owned coffee houses in the greater Puget Sound region before opening a real estate brokerage, Preferred Real Estate Group, in 2005. During the economic downturn of 2007, Kris partnered with the Drexler family and rebranded as the John L. Scott Belfair franchise office. In January 2023, Kris bought Drexler’s half of the firm and became the sole owner of the Belfair branch. Robert Drexler continues to be a broker at the office.
Now the owner and office leader of the Belfair and Shelton offices, Kris is also actively involved in the community and serves as a football coach for the local middle school.
