The Seattle-King County First Citizen Scholarship Foundation recently announced 33 scholarship winners for their annual scholarship program. These scholarships are awarded to high school and college applicants, as well as Seattle King County REALTOR members who demonstrate a commitment to community service.
Three of this year’s winners are daughters of John L. Scott broker associates: Abby Eklund, Novalee Grace Lewis and Emma Parnello! Keep reading to learn more about the three winners with JLS ties.
- Abby Eklund (daughter of JLS Lake Tapps broker Ben Eklund): Abby graduated from Auburn Riverside High School and also earned an AA degree focused on nursing from Green River College. She is planning to pursue a career in nursing post-graduation, and will attend the University of Arizona on a Merit Scholarship this fall.
- Novalee Grace Lewis (daughter of JLS North Tacoma broker Joe Bauman): Novalee graduated at the top of her class at Life Christian Academy in Tacoma and will be attending Texas Christian University in the fall. She enjoys competing in pageants and most recently was named Miss Washington Teen USA and competed at Miss Teen USA.
- Emma Parnello (daughter of JLS Covington – Kent – Maple Valley brokers Dana Parnello and Ankie Stroes): A current University of Washington student, Emma will finish her bachelor’s degree in political science in the upcoming school year. Emma has a love of languages and a passion for global and local social awareness, and plans to either attend graduate school or find an internship after completing her undergraduate degree.
