John L. Scott Foundation was the presenting sponsor for the 2021 Auction of Washington Wines event, which was a hybrid auction Gala. Attendees joined in a variety of ways, including virtual viewings and attending in-person at three mini-Gala locations. In all, the auction event raised more than $2.2 million!
This year marked the 34th year in the Auction of Washington Wines’ relationship with Seattle Children’s, and proceeds from the Gala will include funding to the Odessa Brown Children’s Clinic as well as the Uncompensated Care fund.
Funds raised also continue to help fund important research done by Washington State University’s Viticulture & Enology program. Projects are prioritized on topics most important to Washington growers and winemakers including sustainability, optimal vine and soil health, and best practices to reduce the impact of climate variability on viticulture heath.
