The John L. Scott office in Stanwood hosted a community Shred Event on May 22 as a way to help community members shred a variety of materials after tax day! With the help of a couple of local business partners, the office served up 96 lunches to attendees and shredded tens of thousands of pounds of paper, cell phones, and computers. The shredding partner even took old hard drives!
With the support of local businesses, John L. Scott Stanwood hosted a raffle at the event benefitting the Camano Island Shelter Association (CASA). Event guests received a raffle ticket for every item or cash donation to CASA. The big grand prize for the raffle was a $250 gift certificate to Enzian Inn in Leavenworth! In addition to receiving donations of items to support CASA, a total of $1,052 in cash for the nonprofit was raised.
