John L. Scott Spokane broker elected SAR secretary

John L. Scott Spokane broker Cynthia Gustafson was recently elected secretary of the Spokane Association of REALTORS®

Cynthia Gustafson, a broker out of John L. Scott’s Spokane office, was recently elected the secretary of the Spokane Association of REALTORS® (SAR). She was among the new leadership team members installed at a SAR luncheon. One other John L. Scott Spokane broker, Rick Richard, is serving his second of his two-year term as a director for the association.

Cynthia is involved at the local, state and national levels of the REALTOR® association. Prior to her new role as secretary at SAR, she served two years as a local director, is a past Government Affairs Committee Chair and is the immediate past president of the Young Professionals Network of Spokane (YPN). Cynthia is still involved with YPN as well as Women’s Council of REALTORS®. She is on her third year as a state director for Washington REALTORS® and on her fourth year as the RPAC Trustee for Spokane in which she sits on the WA REALTORS® RPAC Trustee committee. She also is on her second year on the RPAC Major Investor Council for National Association of REALTORS®.

For Cynthia, being involved with the REALTOR® organization is a great way to give back, Living Life as a Contribution® in the real estate industry. Cynthia said she is an advocate for her clients and an advocate for the real estate industry through her work with the REALTOR® association.

“Being a REALTOR® is more than just selling homes,” said Cynthia. “It is about making sure we still have an industry to work in, protecting private property rights and homeownership for all. It’s also about being an advocate for real estate at all levels of government on both sides of the aisle so that people can still obtain the ‘American Dream’ of owning a home.”
