John L. Scott Silverdale’s Lee Avery celebrates retirement

Lee Avery, who served as the office leader of John L. Scott’s Silverdale office since 2010, recently celebrated her retirement with local John L. Scott brokers and staff before embarking on a U.S. road trip.

Lee’s real estate career began in Beaverton, Oregon in 1987, but she started with John L. Scott in the Port Orchard office in 1998. In 2000, Lee became the assistant manager of the Port Orchard office, and later became the manager of the Bremerton office in 2007. The Bremerton office ended up closing in 2009, and Lee moved her license as an agent over to Silverdale where she eventually became office leader in 2010.

Piece by piece, Lee said she began discovering what she’d like to do with the rest of her life, and ended up moving up her schedule for retirement to accomplish some of her “bucket list” items. In July, Lee started on a road trip with her boyfriend following the perimeter of the U.S.; they are currently in Hershey, Pennsylvania and will be heading down the East Coast soon. Once she gets back to Washington, Lee will be serving on the board of directors for her friend’s nonprofit centered around supporting those affected by abuse and trauma, and seeing what comes next.
