John L. Scott technology highlighted in Puget Sound Business Journal

Puget Sound Business Journal | Paxtyn Merten

The technology reporter for the Puget Sound Business Journal recently interviewed John L. Scott chief information officer Teresa Duran for a story centered around digital transformation and innovation efforts at JLS.

Teresa Duran started consulting with local realtor John L. Scott two years ago. Soon after, she signed on as the company’s first chief information officer.

In the era of property technology, or “proptech,” Duran is leading digital transformation efforts at the Puget Sound region’s third-largest residential real estate firm. The brokerage is updating its mobile application — to launch next month — for realtors and clients to search for homes and access information faster.

“That ability to continue to provide real-time information for both brokers and consumers with the home search process, that’s where things are going to continue to take off,” Duran said. “Who can give most accurate, reliable information the fastest?”
