Internet giant Amazon is doubling its tech workforce in downtown Portland.

Last year, the company confirmed it leased 84,000 square feet of space in the newly built Broadway Tower — just across the street from its current office at 1320 Broadway, which houses the AWS Elemental team of roughly 400 people.

Now, the company is revealing plans to hire 400 people in Portland. The two offices make up the Portland Tech Hub and feature teams working on products and services for Amazon Web Services, the company’s lucrative cloud infrastructure business.
