In May, John L. Scott Anacortes brokers and support staff supported the second-annual Runway Show fundraising event put on by the Anacortes Senior Activity Center. This is the second year the office has sponsored this event, and this year 11 brokers and guests enjoyed the opportunity to mingle with others and have fun while supporting a good cause.
More than 175 people go to the Anacortes Senior Activity Center each day to engage with others in a variety of ways, including meals and social activities as well as classes on art, music, computers, woodworking and exercise. Caren McKay, Director of Broker Services for the Anacortes office, said the center is an important amenity of the local Anacortes community.
“Although it is called the ‘senior’ activity center, there are no age requirements to attend,” said McKay. “We feel this is a great cause to support because such a large sector of our community (young and old!) benefit from its existence.”
