Lennox Scott honored with Leader of the PAC award

The Seattle King County REALTOR® recently awarded Lennox Scott the “Leader of the PAC” award for his long time support of the REALTOR® Political Action Committee.

On December 8, 2016, J.img_3328 Lennox Scott was awarded the Leader of the PAC Award at the annual Seattle King County REALTORS® Installation and Awards Banquet. The award recognizes his commitment to the REALTOR® PAC and the REALTOR® Party.  Throughout his 40-year real estate career, Lennox has been a leader and advocate for all REALTOR® issues, and as such, has the following awards and commitments: National Association of REALTORS® REALTOR® PAC Hall of Fame member, Annual Platinum level REALTOR® PAC Investors, President’s Circle Member, and Corporate Ally Investor as a company.

During the banquet, Lennox delivered an acceptance speed to over 220 attendees and thanked the Association for the acknowledgment and honor. “It’s nice to be in a room full of believers of REALTOR® issues; who personally advocate and have stepped up to a higher level of investment to counter the effect of the Citizen United ruling,” he said. “Supporting REALTOR® issues is good for business; good for our members; good for our clients; and good for housing, local communities, and the U.S. economy.”

He went on to say that we support REALTOR® issues by:

  • Electing government officials who support and vote on Realtor issues. We use direct RPAC investments and independent expenditures to help get those officials elected. We are a nonpartisan trade association whose agenda is issue based with a focus on supporting the foundation for a strong America.
  • Supporting Realtor issues through public awareness campaigns surrounding issues that affect residential and commercial real estate.

Lennox pointed out that, “It takes all of us, working together, to create change.  Supporting REALTOR® issues is what we do on an association level, but on a personal level, it’s about being fully engaged, investing additional personal funds, personally advocating for issues, attending Legislative Hill Days, and responding to Calls for Action.

For Lennox Scott, it all comes down to self-expression.  “Stand up and make a personal statement about what is important to you. It’s about being part of something meaningful and significant. Supporting Realtor issues is the right thing to do; because we can.”
