Washington Gov. Jay Inslee has reappointed a Tri-City business leader to the state’s Financial Education Public-Private Partnership.

Dennis Gisi, owner of John L. Scott Real Estate Offices in Pasco, Walla Walla and Milton-Freewater and the retired CEO of Pasco’s Bank Reale, will serve a second term with the partnership.

The group promotes financial education in schools. Financial literacy has been part of the seventh grade social studies and economics curriculum in Washington since 2008.

At Bank Reale, Gisi was instrumental in bringing financial education to small businesses. He has been active in PTA, Junior Achievement and the Foundation for Early Learning in Seattle.

“I believe financial knowledge is the basis for students and adults to improve family circumstances, job opportunities, and the ability to analyze financial choices,” Gisi said in a press release.
