On Saturday, May 17, the John L. Scott Bellevue-Issaquah office hosted their second annual recycling event, doubling the amount of people who brought in donations from last year. Organized by brokers Laura Gadalla and Tiffanie Rinehart, a group of 10 volunteers made up of brokers, office staff and Priority Home Lending Loan Officer Aaron Pilger kept things running smoothly.
Vendors at the event included clothing recyclers Rag Mine and Small Threads, Habitat for Humanity and Recology – a battery recycler and new addition this year. The community eagerly stepped up to drop off unused clothing, household items and furniture.
Laura and Tiffanie share a passion for sustainability, and along with planning this event, recently had a booth at the Issaquah Sustainability Fair.
