On Saturday, August 10, John L. Scott South Kitsap and Gig Harbor hosted a Backpacks for Kids & School Supply donation drive. 12 brokers came together to volunteer their time and with the generosity of community members, the event was a huge success.
So far, they have collected over $10,355 in school supplies, backpacks, food, and cash donations to benefit Backpacks for Kids – a program that provides 450 to 500 bags of food to families in need each weekend of the school year. “I was in tears when we were tallying all of the items and delivering 4 and a half truckloads of food,” said Sarah Dageenakis, Office Leader and Business Coach.
