John L. Scott Covington/Kent/Maple Valley broker celebrated with day in her honor

In recognition of Ankie Stroes’ many years of volunteering, the Maple Valley City Council recently presented her with the Golden Maple Leaf award and proclaimed the weekend of June 8-9, as Ankie Stroes Day. She also served as the Grand Marshall during the Maple Valley Days parade on Saturday, June 8. Ankie is a longtime broker with the John L. Scott Covington/Kent/Maple Valley office and devoted community member.

According to the city council proclamation, Ankie has demonstrated her commitment to Maple Valley in a variety of different ways – from starting Girl Scout troops to event and volunteer coordinator for Maple Valley Make a Difference Day, creating the Maple Valley chapter of Master Gardeners, and volunteering with the Tahoma School District.

Congratulations to Ankie and her exceptional practice of “Living Life as a Contribution®”!
