Christmas Hope is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded by real estate brokers at the John L. Scott Puyallup office. Each year, brokers from the Puyallup office, along with their connections, make donations towards the organization’s partnership with the Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma to provide families in need with gifts for the holidays.
Common items purchased for families in the past include shoes, work-related clothing the parents may be in need of, specialty high chairs, toys, diapers, gift cards so the family can visit a favorite restaurant, tools – you name it! The families often provide a small list of requests and Puyallup brokers do their best to go above and beyond to make it a truly special holiday season for their family.
Families for Christmas Hope are selected by social workers with the hospital, who have personal connections to the families and an intimate knowledge of their individual needs. John L. Scott agents never meet the families, as gifts are shopped for by volunteers, wrapped at the office, and then picked up and delivered to the families by social workers. This keeps their personal information confidential and allows them to simply enjoy the gifts.
