Gavynn Wells, a broker with John L. Scott’s SE Portland-Woodstock office, held a virtual donation fundraiser for the Oregon Food Bank recently. He hit his goal of more than $1,000 raised in only 21 days, which will support the food bank to supply more than 3,000 meals to local residents facing food insecurity.
“I appreciated seeing so many people rally behind this fundraiser to support those in need of food in these times,” said broker Gavynn Wells. “I chose the Oregon Food Bank for the fundraiser because one of the most efficient, best run non-profits in America. According to their online financial review, about 93% of all donations got to fighting food insecurity directly which is incredible!”
Gavynn created his virtual fundraiser through the Oregon Food Bank’s website and also collected a small amount of in-kind donations for the cause. He left his fundraiser open after his goal was hit, and the donation total eventually climbed to $1,568!
