John L. Scott Westwood holds successful shredding event; generates food bank donations

Volunteers from John L. Scott’s Westwood office and Evergreen Home Loans gathered for a recent Shred Event.

For the second year in a row, the John L. Scott Westwood office hosted a successful Shred Event for the local community, including a food drive component. In a matter of two hours, over 4.25 tons of shredding had been done! Armed with gloves, sanitizer and masks, volunteers from John L. Scott Westwood and Evergreen Home Loans were able to make shredding as easy and safe as possible.

The event also served as a food drive for the White Center Food Bank. This year, the Westwood office raised three times the amount of donations from last years’ event. In total, the office was able to donate $4,300 in cash and 1,025 pounds of food.

The West Seattle Blog covered the event; you can read their article here.
