Maray Borrego started in real estate in 2006, but if you ask her, it’s been longer than that. “I feel that I’ve been in real estate without knowing it since the age of 19,” she says. “I just had a passion for it. I started in remodeling homes, and opened my own business doing kitchen remodels in Miami. I spent a good 15 to 20 years there, and then I got licensed in 2006 in the state of Florida.”
Even as a new agent, Maray survived the 2007 recession, falling back on her remodeling business for stability until things picked up again in 2011. “At the end of 2018, it was okay in Florida, but I heard the market in Seattle was awesome,” she says. After visiting a few times, she finally moved out to Washington and has been working there ever since. “I just received the President’s Award for my top performance with John L. Scott,” she says. “It’s good!” Maray is currently licensed in both Washington and Florida, and does business in both states with her transaction coordinator and personal assistant. “Barb is great support for my production and I am grateful for having her by my side,” Maray says. She focuses more on the Seattle area. Maray says that more than half of her business of repeat and referral, with all her leads being personally generated.
