Though the Ronald McDonald House is not able to use volunteer help to prepare and serve meals at this time due to COVID-19, the John L. Scott Foundation is dedicated to supporting families at the houses. To keep our commitment to the Ronald McDonald Houses, the John L. Scott Foundation has partnered with local caterers to drop off food for seriously ill children and their families who are living at the Ronald McDonald House.
Recently, the John L. Scott Foundation purchased catered meals from Boar’s Nest, a BBQ restaurant owned by John L. Scott Bellevue-Main broker Gabe Gagliardi, for the Ronald McDonald House in Seattle. This partnership is coming together again on Tuesday, May 5 when the Boar’s Nest will be dropping off tasty BBQ meals at the Ronald McDonald House!
“I know many of our brokers and staff members miss the opportunity to give back through preparing and serving meals at the Ronald McDonald House,” said Jacqui Haist, John L. Scott’s director of events and the John L. Scott Foundation. “During this time, we felt it was important for us to keep our commitment to feeding families at the Ronald McDonald House, even if we can’t do it like we normally would. We have also appreciated the opportunity to support local restaurants and caterers during this time.”
