On Saturday, April 18, John L. Scott Poulsbo brokers and staff gathered (in small shifts throughout the day) to hold a food and essentials drive. All donations went directly to the North Kitsap Fishline, a nonprofit organization that offers a food bank and supportive services to those in need in Kitsap County.

In all, more than 20 John L. Scott Poulsbo brokers and staff members volunteered throughout the five-hour food drive, and a total of 1,485 pounds of food and other goods were collected. In addition to the in-kind donations, the John L. Scott Poulsbo office was able to deliver $2,710 in cash donations to North Kitsap Fishline! North Kitsap Fishline’s Andrea Benson said via email that the donation was “an incredible amount of food to collect in one day, WOW!”

“This is a perfect example of community helping community,” said John L. Scott’s Kitsap Regional Manager Frank Wilson. “People would drive up and give us cash or would see our signs and run down to the market and come back with bags of food and paper products. At times we would have three or four cars pulling in, and all of them thanking us for what we were doing when they were the ones being so generous.”
