John L. Scott Lake Oswego recently completed a drop-off of donations for the Oregon nonprofit Boxes of Love Project. The office serves as a year-round drop-off location for Boxes of Love. The nonprofit provides foster children and foster families with a box of clothes, shoes, toys and other comfort items as they enter a new home.
John L. Scott Lake Oswego office leader Jimi Couture said they first “adopted” Boxes of Love for the office’s charitable giving in 2017. After finding out the nonprofit had a need in their area for a year-round drop-off location, she decided to make the John L. Scott Lake Oswego an official drop-off location in the community for Boxes of Love.
“My heart goes out to foster kids – they don’t typically have a lot of personal things of their own, and endure so much stress being moved from home to home,” said Couture. “The boxes distributed by Boxes of Love can make things just a bit easier and more comforting for foster children. Through this partnership, we get to see the generous loving hearts of people bringing in box after box of comfort items for children of all ages, and our brokers get their networks involved as well.”
