The John L. Scott Anacortes office recently decided to “adopt” a room to furnish at the newest Anacortes Family Center housing complex. Anacortes brokers and staff have been hard at work collecting furnishings and putting the finishing touches on the unit they have adopted.

The unit is equipped with everything needed for the new residents to feel right at home, including a bed, bookcases, silverware, bath towels and more. It is a part of a brand new 20-apartment affordable housing project for local low-income households. This is the first time the Anacortes office has “adopted” a room, and broker services assistant Kris Whiteaker said it’s been a great project for the office to participate in.
