A global recession is inevitable, but barring a catastrophic event it won’t be anywhere near as bad as the one that started in 2008, Puget Sound-area housing market analyst Todd Britsch said.
Britsch, Pacific Northwest regional director of Metrostudy, spoke Thursday at the John L. Scott Real Estate’s annual Builder Breakfast, which also included Lennox Scott’s forecast for housing prices in 2020. Scott, chairman and CEO of the company, predicts prices will increase 8 percent or more in some parts of the region.
