John L. Scott Seattle Northeast office organizes canvas bag drive

John L. Scott Seattle Northeast broker Robert Murray models the first batch of bags from the office’s canvas bag drive before taking them down to the University District Food Bank.

Recently, the John L. Scott Seattle Northeast office organized a reusable bag drive, which will be an ongoing effort. In all, the office donated around 50 bags, and is looking forward to giving back in this way in the future. If you have any excess reusable bags you’d like to donate and live near the Seattle Northeast office, feel free to drop them off. Along the same vein, if your office supports a nearby food bank, it may be a good idea to see if they’d be open to a similar drive!

The idea came about when office leader Patti Hill realized she had accumulated more canvas bags than she needed. Her friend and an affiliate with the Seattle King County REALTORS®, Micheal Goodheim from Commission Express, asked her to get involved with the University District Food Bank and she found out they would accept reusable bags for clients to use to take food home.
