Eight-time Olympic medalist Apolo Ohno is keynote speaker of event
John L. Scott is holding its annual Convention event for employees, brokers and industry vendors at the Meydenbauer Center in downtown Bellevue on Oct. 25. This year’s event has a theme of “Elevate,” and features a trade show, convention programming and breakout sessions. Convention speakers include eight-time Olympic medalist and Dancing with the Stars champion Apolo Ohno, who will be delivering keynote remarks.
“The 2018 Convention is a time to celebrate our successes, but also to focus on how we can elevate these accomplishments to the next level,” said J. Lennox Scott, Chairman and CEO at John L. Scott. “Between our inspirational keynote speaker Apolo Ohno, our forward-looking breakout sessions and industry tradeshow, our brokers will leave equipped with everything they’ll need to elevate their business strategies.”
Attendees will have a variety of breakout sessions to choose from that speak to their individual career development goals. Breakout speakers include business coach and strategist Travis Robertson; real estate professional Chandra Hall; Charlie Engel from Juwai.com; and real estate social media consultant Katie Lance. Sessions will address topics including: “The Income Acceleration Formula,” “Identify Theft: How to Protect Yourself,” “Chinese Consumers and the Real Estate Market,” “Luxury: The Rise of the New Aristocracy,” “The Lead Gen Evangelist” and “How to Tell Your Story Online.”
Before the convention programming begins at 9 a.m., the Convention trade show will feature booths from vendors including Bear Printing, American Home Shield, Juwai.com, Northwest Multiple Listing Service, Puget Sound Business Journal and RICOH Tours. Additionally, attendees will be able to schedule professional headshots, get technical support from John L. Scott’s information technology team and pose for photos with Apolo Ohno and J. Lennox Scott.
In addition to the Convention, John L. Scott’s Foundation Night will be held on Oct. 24. Proceeds from this annual event benefit the John L. Scott Foundation, which supports children’s healthcare. John L. Scott brokers, partners and the general public are invited to purchase a ticket to Foundation Night, which consists of a silent auction, raffles, a poker tournament, food and refreshments.
