Local Boise teen Jorge Ibanez-Ruiz was diagnosed with bone cancer in June, and has been fighting for his life. His parents asked the public to send postcards for Jorge’s 15th birthday on Sept. 13. The whole world and the John L. Scott Boise office delivered…

We ran across the posting, being shared on Faecbook and were inspired by Jorge’s strength and infectious smile. We thought what a simple thing to do to make a difference in this boy’s life and it would also be perfect for September, it being Childhood Cancer Awareness month #livinglifeasacontribution.

So, during our Tuesday sales meeting we filled out a bunch of birthday cards with special John L. Scott wishes to send to Jorge on his special day. We were excited to hear he ended up with about 1,000 cards, enough to bury his bed!
