John L. Scott Medford helps put on Operation Shout-out to Seniors

A local police officer in Jackson County drops off meals to seniors in Medford through the recent Operation Shout-out to Seniors event in part organized by John L. Scott Medford brokers DeAnna Sickler and Dyan Lane.

In late April, members of John L. Scott’s Medford office participated in a joint effort to drop off (from a safe distance) free meals from a local diner. The event, dubbed Operation Shout-out to Seniors was a collaboration between John L. Scott, The Berkey Group of Country Financial, Medford police officers and deputies from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. John L. Scott Medford broker team DeAnna Sickler and Dyan Lane helped spearhead the event, employing the help of local police to deliver more than 500 meals from Punky’s Diner and Pies to local seniors who placed orders for the free meals.

“The seniors who received these hot meals were so grateful,” said John L. Scott broker DeAnna Sickler. “For many, it was more than a just meal, but also a chance for connection after not having any visitors for 5-6 weeks prior. We really loved taking this opportunity to acknowledge our local senior and veteran population.”
